Balanced Diet

A balanced diet should include vitamins, proteins, minerals, and carbohydrates. You should consume meals thrice a day to stay nourished. Green vegetables, fruits, salad, whole grains, rice, pulses are essential sources of nutrients. At night, you should take light meals three hours before you go to bed.

Dieting is not all about abstaining from food or consuming less food. In want of food, you might grow weak even though you take exercise or do physical labor. A healthy diet will equip you with the immunity to fight the deadliest diseases.

Stay away from intoxication

Overindulgence in alcohol, drugs, and tobacco not only invite diseases but also weaken our immune system. Intoxication should be avoided altogether or taken in moderate quantities.

Good Night Sleep

Studies suggest that healthful sleep has a bearing on longevity even more than heredity, exercise, or diet. Sleep deprivation may lead to obesity and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it also affects the immune system adversely. Thus, seven-and-a-half-hour sleep can be miraculous to your health.

Avoid Excessive Intake of Coffee

Coffee is a leading worldwide beverage, but If you consume more than 4 cups of coffee (more than 400 mg per day), it may cause insomnia, nervousness, restlessness, high blood pressure, dizziness, and a fast heartbeat.

Avoid Stress

Stress is the cause of weight increase and many cardiovascular diseases. With yoga and meditation, you can relieve yourself from stress. You can do some lifestyle changes to get rid of stress.

Negative Thinking

Look at the positive side of everything and avoid negative thoughts to stay healthy mentally and physically.

Exercise

Take exercise every morning and include physical activities in your daily routine.

Cleanliness

Maintain cleanliness for a healthy lifestyle. You can prevent many diseases in a clean environment.

Good Water Habits

Drink one liter of lukewarm water in the morning before gargling. The saliva contains lysozyme enzyme, which cleans the stomach and digestive system. Drink little water 10 minutes before lunch or dinner but do not take water in between meals. Do not take too much water immediately after meals. Avoid cold water from the refrigerator and water cooler. Try to drink around 15 glasses of water throughout the day. Lukewarm water with a few drops of lemon boosts the digestive system.  Lukewarm water in the morning also prevents constipation and acidity.

Good Food Habits

Include salads, curd, and vegetables in your meals, and eat a little less than your appetite. Always eat something with tea to avoid acidity. More than 2 teas or coffees should be avoided in a day. Try to have dinner 3 hours before going to bed. Have light food at night. Jowar chapati contains less sugar as compared to wheat chapati. Breakfast should not be skipped and it can include one glass of milk, buttermilk, or juice of seasonal fruit. You can take cornflakes, upma, oats, poha, Idli, Vada, etc. Take biscuits, gram, bhel as evening snacks as well. Fasting one day a week detoxifies the body and gives rest to the digestive system.
